Short Overview: 5 minute intro to World Skills Cyber Security Competition by George O'Mahony / Dylan Smyth

The preliminary World Skills qualifying competition will run on the following:

Friday May 31st 4pm to 8pm 

Saturday June 1st 9am to 1pm 

The competition will take place on Ireland's only Cyber Range Infrastructure, which is a world-class state-of-the-art cybersecurity platform, and will be fully online, so competitors only need a browser to compete and can compete from anywhere across the country. The competition will consist of a number of challenges including Enterprise Infrastructure Security; Cyber Security Incident Response, Digital Forensic Investigations, and Application Security; and Capture-The-Flag (CTF) Challenges. This is a great opportunity for young cyber security professionals on the island of

Two former competitors represented Ireland in Korea 2022 at the World Skills International competition (https://www.cyberskills.ie/explore/news/team-ireland-at-the-46th-world-skills-competition-2022-in-south-korea.html)  and two more former competitors will represent Ireland at the 2024 WorldSkills International Competition in Lyon this September.
