Catherine Wilson

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UCC and a Masters in International Marketing from UCD Graduate School of Business, a Higher Diploma in Software Engineering from UCC, A Diploma in Project Management from MTU and a Certificate in Cybersecurity for Business from Galway University. Catherine has worked across a range of industries, including publishing, cyber threat prevention and numerous Irish online retailers. She has worked with consumer and academic publishers such as The Reed Elsevier group who produce the lancet publication amongst others. She was involved in the launch of Science search engine Scopus. An excellent communicator Catherine enjoyed lecturing marketing in the CIT now MTU. She also worked for the Irish Times website where she introduced the successful subscription model and with The Examiner and Daily Mail group and Euromoney Institurional investor as ecommerce manager in London. She has worked as an independent  marketing consultant nurturing many small businesses in Kinsale. Following a stint in Trend Micro Cybersecurity company she followed her passion for Cybersecurity and enrolled in a Cybersecurity course for Business in Galway University. Catherine has walked in the shoes of many of our students and understands how to support them as they upskill in Cybersecurity, and reach new career goals.
