Dr. Hazel Murray is a cybersecurity researcher with research interests in password security, authentication, quantum cryptography and local differential privacy. She completed her PhD on authentication security at Maynooth University under an Irish Research Council GOI Postgraduate Scholarship. Her undergraduate is in Mathematics Education from Maynooth University which she graduated from with highest results. Hazel has worked as a cryptography lecturer at Dublin City University for two years from 2018-2020. In 2020-2021, Hazel worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Chicago working on practical implementations of local differential privacy in online tracking.
