Dr. Abdullah Bin Masood

Dr. Abdullah Bin Masood is a distinguished cybersecurity researcher with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and the security of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). He earned his bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Pakistan in 2014. He then obtained a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the National University of Science and Technology, Pakistan, in 2019, and completed his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Cyprus in 2024. Currently, Dr. Masood serves as a Network Security Developer at Cyberskills and holds a postdoctoral position at Munster Technological University. With over ten years of combined academic and industrial experience, he has specialized in designing innovative cross-layer security protocols and algorithms, optimizing networks, and implementing upgrades. Dr. Masood has contributed extensively to the academic community, with numerous publications in prestigious conferences and journals. His research interests span a wide array of topics, including anomaly detection, blockchain technologies, embedded systems, industrial control systems, cyber-physical systems, network robotics, 6G technologies, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, and non-linear control systems.
