Dr. Bahareh Pahlevanzadeh is currently working as a lecturer in the School of Informatics & Cybersecurity at TUDublin, and as part of the Cyber Skills HCI Pillar 3 Project.
Bahareh has several years of teaching and research experience, as well as extensive experience working as an ICT Manager and Head of Research Group in leading academic institutes.
Bahareh received the 2021 ISC/RICeST best researchers award. Bahareh was awarded her Ph.D. Degree from University Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2014 (specialization in Computer Networks and communication Protocol). Bahareh was honoured with a fellowship award, as the first-class honours for her Masters Degree in Computer Science, 2007 and Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2004. She received grant/research funding from the Ministry of Higher Education Japan and Malaysia from 2007-2012.
She worked on several projects in collaboration with industrial/academic partners in Canada, Ireland, Iran, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and China. These projects were mainly in the area of cyber security, Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0, High-performance Computing, Software Defined Networks (SDN), AIOT, Cloud Computing, wireless communication, smart cities, artificial intelligence, ad hoc networks, AI-based Recommender system, Digital Libraries and Information Systems.
Her most recent book, "Data Analysis in the Cloud" published in 2021, can be used by young researchers at different academic levels.
