We are delighted to share some fantastic news from the Cyber Skills team, Dr Hazel Murray, our highly respected colleague and cyber education leader, has been appointed Chair of Cybersecurity at Munster Technological University (MTU). 

Hazel has been an integral part of Cyber Skills since its inception, shaping our programmes, mentoring learners, and driving forward our mission to build Ireland’s cyber talent pipeline. Her expertise spans both the technical and strategic dimensions of cybersecurity, and her passion for empowering the next generation of cyber professionals is unmatched. 

This new position at MTU is a testament to Hazel’s vision, leadership, and dedication. As Chair of Cybersecurity, she will help steer MTU’s academic and research agenda in this critical area, ensuring that Ireland remains at the forefront of cyber innovation, skills development, and industry collaboration. 

For Cyber Skills, this milestone strengthens our close ties with MTU and reinforces our shared mission: equipping individuals, businesses, and communities with the knowledge and skills to thrive securely in the digital world.
